Around the world (and more likely than not at this very moment), someone, somewhere is using slideware of some kind — be it Microsoft’s PowerPoint, Apple’s KeyNote, OpenOffice’s Impress, or any other slideware application. More likely than not, they are doing it badly, boring their audience and not communicating nearly as effectively as they could. As a result, no one changes their behavior or feels informed about what they were supposed to have learned not fifteen minutes previous!

It doesn’t have to be this way. There are presenters who have mastered slideware as a tool that radically enhances their presentations. What are they doing that unsuccessful users aren’t? Jeff has worked in the IT industry for 15-plus years, working with large companies like GE and Hewlett-Packard, as well as smaller and mid-size companies (and, of course, being the ‘tech support guy’ to his family and friends).
